Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver packages, food, and retail goods to residential and commercial locations within Chicago
- Maintain accurate delivery records using our mobile tracking system and customer communication tools
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions, including order confirmations and issue resolution
- Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle cleanliness, fuel levels, and basic operational functionality
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, delivery time windows, and company safety protocols
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service while minimizing fuel consumption
- Report delivery exceptions, customer feedback, and maintenance needs promptly to operations team
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 1 year driving experience)
- Ability to operate standard delivery vehicles (vans, cargo bikes, or scooters depending on assignment)
- Strong navigation skills with familiarity of Chicago neighborhoods and traffic patterns
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps and customer communication
- Physical ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs/doorways
- Reliable transportation to and from designated shift locations
