Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial freight vehicles to transport goods between warehouses, distribution centers, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle compliance with DOT regulations
- Accurately document delivery manifests, mileage logs, and incident reports
- Maintain clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience with freight transport
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong knowledge of San Antonio metro area roadways and traffic patterns
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
