Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper handling and securement.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of delivery schedules and mileage.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel at delivery sites.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience in freight logistics.
- Excellent driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical duties as needed.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to follow routes precisely.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Availability to work part-time hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
