Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks for material transport (gravel, sand, asphalt, demolition debris)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and pre-trip safety checks
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Coordinate with dispatch and site supervisors for efficient operations
- Assist with minor equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Secure loads and ensure proper tarping procedures
- Represent Metro Transport Solutions professionally at all job sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement
- Minimum 2 years' dump truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area and surrounding regions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Physical ability to climb equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various weather conditions
