Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight between warehouses, distribution centers, and client sites
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Collaborate with dispatch teams to optimize delivery routes and timelines
- Ensure cargo security through proper loading/unloading protocols
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Assist in inventory management and warehouse operations when needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in the past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with New Orleans metropolitan area roadways
