Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight within New Orleans metro area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload shipments using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time delivery
- Provide exceptional customer service during client interactions
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate delivery status and resolve any shipment issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans geography and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Drug-free and willing to pass background check
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging systems
