Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vans to transport freight to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate delivery logs and delivery receipts.
- Provide professional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 1 year of driving experience in a commercial or logistic setting.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Must have a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
