Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods within New York City
- Pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance
- Load/unload shipments using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, dollies)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic tracking records
- Coordinate with dispatch team for route optimization and timely deliveries
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all NYC traffic regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Familiarity with NYC streets and traffic patterns
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement
- Strong time management and organizational skills
