Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional deliveries within 150-mile radius
- Perform daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Secure cargo properly and verify delivery documentation
- Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum 1 year box truck or straight-truck experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs/maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Smartphone with GPS and reliable communication apps
- Proof of commercial insurance (liability coverage $1M+)
- Strong time management and customer service skills
