Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (box trucks or straight trucks) for local and regional freight transport
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic tracking systems
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Orlando area roads and commercial zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate material handling equipment
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed
