Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Equipment: Drive dump trucks in a safe, courteous, and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and Unload: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and load/unload materials at job sites and our processing facility.
- Material Handling: Ensure materials are distributed accurately and efficiently, maintaining the integrity of the load during transport.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly follow OSHA regulations, company safety protocols, and environmental guidelines to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery receipts as required by state and federal regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch, site supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Qualifications
- CDL License: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Experience: Proven experience operating dump trucks and hauling various construction materials (sand, gravel, dirt, etc.).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Equipment Knowledge: Basic knowledge of truck maintenance and the ability to perform minor troubleshooting.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on safety and precision in loading and unloading operations.
