Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport construction materials, debris, and aggregates to job sites across San Jose
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and post-trip maintenance checks to ensure vehicle compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic tracking systems
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and local traffic laws
- Coordinate with site supervisors and dispatch teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
- Assist in minor equipment troubleshooting and report mechanical issues promptly
- Support warehouse operations when not driving, including material staging and inventory management
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience operating dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of San Jose area routes and construction site access protocols
- Physical ability to climb equipment, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery schedules
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
