Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Drive delivery vehicles to ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages to customers in Wichita and surrounding areas.
- Load & Unload: Carefully load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly and handled with care.
- Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, verifying deliveries, and handling signatures professionally.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs immediately to keep operations running smoothly.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including mileage and proof of delivery.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and DOT regulations (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Reliability: Punctual with a history of reliable attendance.
- Availability: Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Computer Literacy: Basic ability to use handheld scanners or delivery apps.
