Responsibilities
- Safe and Timely Delivery: Ensure packages are delivered to customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers politely, handling deliveries with care, and resolving any delivery issues or complaints efficiently.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Complete necessary delivery logs, receipts, and delivery verification forms accurately and on time.
- Route Management: Navigate efficiently using GPS and map applications to optimize delivery routes and ensure on-time arrivals.
- Asset Protection: Secure all deliveries and ensure the safety of company assets and merchandise during the transit process.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations within the last 3 years).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for extended periods, and walk long distances as required by the job duties.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Technology Proficiency: Basic computer literacy and the ability to use handheld delivery devices or smartphone applications.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
