Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial customers within the Portland, VA area.
- Interact with customers in a professional, friendly, and courteous manner.
- Inspect delivery vehicles daily and perform basic pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Prepare delivery manifests and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Handle packages with care to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.
- Utilize handheld devices for navigation and electronic proof of delivery.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Basic math skills for handling payments or change if required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for app-based routing.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
