Responsibilities
- Safely Transport Packages: Deliver packages to residential and commercial addresses in New York City in a timely and professional manner.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly demeanor and ensuring packages are handled with care.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean and in good working condition.
- Route Planning: Optimize delivery routes to ensure efficiency and punctuality, navigating NYC traffic with ease.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record delivery information and maintain digital logs as required by company policy.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid Class C Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or courier is preferred but not mandatory.
- Smartphone Proficiency: Must have a smartphone to use our proprietary delivery app for navigation and order management.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of NYC: Familiarity with the streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns of New York City is a significant advantage.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and a professional appearance.
