Responsibilities
- Deliver packages to residential and commercial destinations in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle for cleanliness and ensure all safety equipment is functional.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any delivery issues.
- Accurately complete delivery logs and electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) on mobile devices.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Physically fit and able to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to follow a route map and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for using handheld delivery devices.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
