Responsibilities
- Safely deliver packages and food orders to residential and commercial locations using company-provided vehicles
- Load/unload cargo with precision and care, ensuring items remain undamaged
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to meet time-sensitive schedules
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions and resolve delivery inquiries promptly
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and customers in real-time
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional delivery or commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and operate in varied weather conditions
- Proficient with smartphone apps and GPS navigation systems
- Strong time-management skills with ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and professional appearance
- Pass background check and drug screening as required
- Knowledge of Fresno area streets and surrounding communities preferred
