Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A delivery vehicles on local and regional routes.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and placement to prevent damage.
- Verify cargo contents and obtain signatures for delivery receipts.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service (HOS) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and resolve delivery issues professionally.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience in a professional trucking environment.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently during loading and unloading.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
