Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) over long distances in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Accurately complete and maintain electronic logging device (ELD) records and necessary paperwork.
- Load and secure cargo securely to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines.
- Maintain a professional image and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and current CDL.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs, reckless driving, or serious traffic violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
