Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight safely and on time to designated locations.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and complete necessary delivery paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Uphold a professional image while representing Swift Logistics Solutions on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road maps, GPS systems, and local traffic patterns in the Northeast corridor.
- Willingness to work a dedicated schedule with guaranteed home time.
