Responsibilities
- Operate commercial tractor-trailers to transport freight safely and efficiently across regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and records of service in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to all company policies regarding defensive driving and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Nebraska.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (hazmat or tanker experience is a plus).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record with no more than two preventable accidents in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management skills.
