Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport materials (sand, gravel, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of mileage and deliveries as required by DOT regulations.
- Load and unload materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site managers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving heavy dump trucks in a construction or logistics environment.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
