Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on dedicated routes throughout Virginia and surrounding states
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Ensure secure loading/unloading of freight with proper securing techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety protocols
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and climb trailer steps
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation to reporting location
