Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for dedicated OTR routes in Fort Wayne metro area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining flawless safety records
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation and real-time updates
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logging
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR driving experience or equivalent training
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road issues
- Exceptional time management and route optimization abilities
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices and communication tools
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as required by delivery schedules
