Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van or refrigerated trailers) following DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logs (ELD compliance)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks
- Adapt routes dynamically based on traffic and delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong knowledge of Columbus area roadways and infrastructure
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
