Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely operate Class A or Class B trucks to deliver freight to designated locations in and around Austin, TX.
- Load and Unload: Ensure cargo is loaded securely and unloaded efficiently at delivery sites, following all safety protocols.
- Vehicle Inspection: Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required delivery paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOL) and delivery receipts, ensuring compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients, resolving any delivery issues or concerns in a courteous manner.
- Route Adherence: Follow planned routes and time schedules to ensure on-time deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with the required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat, Tanker).
- Clean Record: Must have a clean driving record with no major traffic violations or DUIs within the last 3-5 years.
- Medical Card: Current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
