Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks to transport freight safely and efficiently within the designated route.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Log driving hours and maintain accurate driver logs (ELD/DVR) in compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Interact professionally with customers, receivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure high-quality service.
- Maintain a clean and organized driving environment, including the cab and cargo area.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, traffic signals, and company driving policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Current DOT Medical Card (Medical Examiner's Certificate) in hand.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3 years.
- Previous truck driving experience is preferred but not always required for entry-level local positions.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to navigate effectively.
