Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated delivery points within the Sacramento area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bill of lading documentation, and mileage records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle requirements).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record (no DUIs or major moving violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of cargo handling and securing procedures.
