Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to ensure timely delivery of freight within the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and logbooks.
- Handle cargo with extreme care, ensuring it is secured properly and delivered in pristine condition.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse staff to resolve any delivery issues efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tankers preferred but not required for entry).
- Current, valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- A clean driving record with no DUIs or major traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing loading/unloading duties as needed.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to safety and reliability.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts to meet business demands.
