Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks, step vans) for local deliveries
- Load/unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork documentation
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Optimize routes for timely delivery in Oakland metro area
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of Oakland/Bay Area geography
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or weekends
