Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) for local deliveries and short-haul routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delays
- Maintain clean driving record and report incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screening
- Familiarity with Oakland/Bay Area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Basic navigation skills and GPS proficiency
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
