Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles to transport freight to designated locations throughout New York.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling, securement, and organization.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety compliance and identify maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery logs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs in the past 5 years.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
