Responsibilities
- Safe & Efficient Driving: Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and on time, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load Management: Secure cargo properly during loading and unloading, ensuring items are protected from damage and adhering to weight distribution rules.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and paperwork in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with customers and clients to ensure satisfaction with delivery services.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Possession of a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the required endorsements (e.g., Hazmat if applicable).
- Driving Record: A clean driving record with no serious violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the shift.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required by business needs.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to use handheld devices for navigation and logging.
