Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (26,000+ GVW) following DOT regulations and company policies
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and documentation
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage reports, and pre/post-trip inspections
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring on-time performance
- Operate in compliance with all Florida highway safety standards
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade County roadways and delivery protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and early morning shifts
- Smartphone proficiency for route navigation and communication
