Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in the Detroit metro area.
- Load and unload merchandise efficiently and securely, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior, adhering to all safety and sanitation regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving any delivery issues on the spot.
- Complete daily logs and reports accurately, including mileage and delivery statuses.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or equivalent commercial driver's permit preferred.
- A clean driving record with no recent DUI or serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy for managing delivery apps or handheld devices.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and early morning shifts.
