Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (53' dry van, reefers, or flatbeds)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and perform pre/post-trip inspections
- Deliver freight punctually to regional destinations
- Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Collaborate with dock teams for efficient loading/unloading
- Participate in ongoing safety training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year recent OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for overnight stays and weekend shifts
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge
