Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for weekend freight delivery
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization
- Handle hazardous materials training/certifications when required
- Maintain professional communication with clients and team
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in variable weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat placarding (or willingness to obtain certification)
- Strong navigation skills and GPS proficiency
