Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B) on local and regional routes within the Wichita area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bill of ladings, and electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic laws at all times.
- Communicate any delays or issues to the dispatch team immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- A current, clean driving record (MVR) free of major violations.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading and unloading.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
