Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans to deliver freight to designated destinations in the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT safety regulations.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict delivery deadlines while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers at each delivery location.
- Complete accurate delivery paperwork and electronic logs (ELD) accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and cargo area to ensure cargo integrity.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong understanding of local traffic laws, safety regulations, and geographic routes in Northern California.
- Basic math skills for change-making and cash handling at delivery sites.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or early morning shifts as required by business needs.
