Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all federal and state regulations, including DOT and FMCSA standards.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance before and after every shift.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring items are protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records, adhering to hours-of-service regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods on time and communicating any delays or issues professionally.
- Adhere to company policies regarding traffic laws, speed limits, and safe driving practices at all times.
- Keep the vehicle and cargo area clean and organized throughout the workday.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the appropriate endorsements (e.g., Tanker, Hazmat).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual handling tasks as required.
