Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A or Class B vehicles within the Indianapolis metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) available for inspection.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or night shifts.
- Basic knowledge of GPS and navigation systems.
