Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on local delivery routes within the Tampa area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks with care and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs, manifests, and billing documents.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screening.
- Basic math skills for making change and calculating delivery fees accurately.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Reliability and punctuality are mandatory for all shifts.
