Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and vans on designated local delivery routes in the San Jose area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse personnel to ensure satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and weight calculations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to safety.
