Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner throughout the Long Beach area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload freight with care, ensuring cargo security during transit.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and partners at each delivery point.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding traffic conditions and delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no recent serious violations.
- Previous experience in logistics, freight hauling, or local delivery is preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
