Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) on local and regional routes within Illinois and North Carolina.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently and securely using proper equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) per DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate class and endorsements.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 3 years of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed.
