Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weights and quantities accurately.
- Complete and maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and route guidelines to ensure on-time arrivals.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding status updates and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (Class A preferred).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical card) valid for at least 6 months.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
