Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver goods to various locations in the Detroit area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required (depending on vehicle type).
- Must have a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a DOT drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of local Detroit and Michigan roadways.
- Basic mechanical skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions.
