Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver freight to various locations within the Baltimore metro area and surrounding regions.
- Load & Unload: Securely load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are properly strapped and protected during transit.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in optimal condition and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of driving time, miles traveled, and delivery receipts.
- Customer Interaction: Deliver exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients and warehouse personnel.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the necessary endorsements.
- Clean Driving Record: A satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving, etc.) in the last 3 years.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Availability: Flexible availability for part-time shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to operate two-way radio communication equipment.
- Work Ethic: Professional attitude, reliability, and a commitment to safety.
