Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for local/regional deliveries
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and route planning tools
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route changes or delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Maryland roadways and traffic patterns
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
